San Joaquin and Associated Counties Regional Planning Unit – Regional Workforce Development Plan 2017-2020
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA) mandates regional workforce planning as does the State of California. The San Joaquin and Associated Counties Regional Plan covers ten counties via eight local Workforce Development BoardsĀ (Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Mono, San Jaoquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare).

Local Strategic Workforce Plan
The Local Workforce Plan outlines workforce development strategies, including employment training and supportive services for residents throughout Merced County. The plan summarizes administration, program budgets, program goals, and service strategies for the stated period. The Local Strategic Workforce Plan aligns with the State of California Workforce Development Board’s Strategic State Plan for California’s Workforce Investment system.
