Merced County Workforce Development Board
The Merced County Workforce Development Board is a policy-making entity empowered by WIOA to educate and train local workers, support businesses, and provide oversight of Worknet Merced County. The Merced County Workforce Development Board is comprised of a majority of private business owners who collaborate with leaders from various education, labor, public service, and community based organizations. The focus of this board is to ensure that the residents of Merced County have the skills, training, and education to achieve their career goals, and Merced County employers are able to hire, develop, and retain outstanding employees. Through its strategic initiatives, the Board works to promote economic opportunity and shared prosperity. Our Board Members help Worknet Merced County to create strategic alliances with businesses, the workforce development community, and other stakeholders via its Mission, Vision, and Goals.
